Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. said Wednesday it has received a full-turnkey order from Viridian, an Irish electricity producer, for a 400-megawatt gas turbine combined cycle power plant.
It is the first turnkey power plant order Mitsubishi Heavy has ever received in Ireland.
The plant in Huntstown near Dublin will consist of a gas turbine and a steam turbine made by Mitsubishi Heavy, a heat-recovery steam generator procured from a global supplier and a generator built by Mitsubishi Electric Corp., Mitsubishi Heavy said.
Trading house Mitsubishi Corp. is also taking part in the project.
