When Monkey D. Luffy of the manga and anime "One Piece" screams out "I'm going to be a pirate king," does it ever make you think to yourself, "I want to be a pirate king too"? Well now's your chance.

With more than 300 million copies printed in 35 different countries since its original serialization in 1997, Eiichiro Oda's "One Piece" is immensely popular. This year, the anime version celebrates its 15th anniversary, and to commemorate Universal Studios Japan is presenting its One Piece Summer Adventure.

The highlight of the event is the One Piece Premium Show 2014, which uses projection mapping to bring the characters to life on stage. With an original and different story from last spring's stage show, this realistic reproduction of the One Piece universe promises exciting visuals that are sure to be a hit with fans.

Also new are various limited attractions, such as an interactive "One Piece Water Battle" street show, where visitors can fight their favorite characters with water guns. A battle last 25 minutes and it runs four times a day.

If visitors develop an appetite from all the pirating, there are also themed restaurants, including Sanji's Pirates Restaurant and Straw Hat Crew's Feast Restaurant. Universal Studios limited-edition "One Piece" merchandise, such as one-of-a-kind Straw Hat Pirates goods and costumes, will also be available at Jurassic Outfitters and other stores in the theme park.

One Piece Summer Adventure takes place at Universal Studios Japan from July 4 to Sept. 7. A one-day pass to the theme park is ¥6,980 for adults and ¥4,880 for children. Additional tickets are required for the Premium show and cost from ¥1,980 to ¥4,980 for adults, and ¥980 to ¥3980 for children.
