Young Boys justified their decision not to allow Yuya Kubo to go to the Rio Olympics as the striker scored twice on Wednesday to help the Swiss team advance to the final round of qualifying for the Champions League.

Young Boys trailed Shakhtar Donetsk 2-0 after the first leg of the third-round qualifier last week, but Kubo struck in the 54th and 60th minutes to make it all square before Young Boys went through 4-2 on penalties.

Kubo, 22, also converted his spot kick in the shootout before Milan Gajic scored the decisive penalty.
