Japan's Aska Cambridge equaled his personal best of 20.62 seconds to claim the men's 200 meters at the Night of Athletics on Saturday.

The 23-year-old, born to a Jamaican father and Japanese mother, logged the same time as Sorrillo Rondell of Trinidad Tobago with a tailwind of 0.4 meters but was awarded the win.

"I'd give around 30 (points out of 100 for my performance)," said Cambridge, who is set to compete at next month's Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

"My strength is usually in the second half . . . I ran the bend nicely but then made myself lose shape, (the upper body) leaning backward."

Cambridge won the 100 meters at the national championships last month in Nagoya, clocking 10.16 seconds to finish ahead of Ryota Yamagata and Yoshihide Kiryu.
