Yokohama F. Marinos have extended the contract of their manager Erick Mombaerts to the end of 2016, the J. League club said Monday.
In his first year in Japan, the former France youth coach guided Marinos to seventh on the overall standings. The season ended for Mombaerts' side on Sunday with a 0-0 home draw to relegated Matsumoto Yamaga.
