Tomoki Kameda has vacated his WBO bantamweight title, his management Kameda Promotion announced on Friday.
The move comes days after the World Boxing Organization announced it would not authorize a proposed unification bout in Texas on May 9 between Kameda and Britain's WBA champion Jamie McDonnell, because McDonnell holds a secondary title — the WBA's "regular" belt.
