Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was remaining quiet about a prospective deal to bring FC Tokyo striker Yoshinori Muto to Stamford Bridge, but said Friday he would not allow commercial interests to influence his decision to sign a player for the club, according to England's Sky Sports.

Tokyo said earlier this week that Chelsea had made a formal offer for the 22-year-old Japan international striker, with the move coming after the Premier League leaders signed a five-year shirt sponsorship deal worth £200 million with Japanese tire company Yokohama Rubber Co. in late February.

"I know a little (about Muto)," Mourinho was quoted as saying on skysports.com. "(But) I don't think it's nice for me to speak about a player who plays for FC Tokyo."
