Hanshin Tigers owner Shinya Sakai will ask Yutaka Wada to stay on as manager of the Central League club, sources said Thursday.
Wada, who guided the Tigers to second place in the CL and secured home advantage against the Hiroshima Carp in the first stage of the Climax Series playoffs starting Saturday, is expected to accept the offer to be made on Friday and lead the team again next season.
The 52-year old Wada is in the final year of his current deal.
