Ai Miyazato stumbled with a final-round 2-over-par 74 Sunday at the Titleholders to finish in fifth place, five shots behind South Korean winner Choi Na Yeon.

Miyazato, who started the day just one shot behind Choi in second, failed to get her putts to roll in as she wrapped up the final round of the U.S. LPGA season with a 9-under 279 total.

Choi had a double-bogey on the par-4 No. 3 but rebounded with a nine-foot eagle two holes later. She completed her round with three birdies and one bogey to capture her second title of the season.

Miyazato, whose 32 putts were her most in four days, had three birdies cancelled out by five bogeys, three of which came on the front nine.

"I couldn't get a good rhythm on the front nine, and I was having trouble reading the lines on my putts," said Miyazato, who was aiming for her third title of the year.

"Ending in fifth place in the final tournament of the year is a good stance. I've found many things that I have to work on for next year. Overall, two title wins made this a very good year for me."
