Makoto Kadowaki produced one of the best moments of his rookie season when the Yomiuri Giants needed it the most.
The Giants lost a one-run lead in the top of the ninth before going ahead for good after Kadowaki saved the day with a sayonara single in the bottom half that gave the Kyojin a 4-3 victory over the Tokyo Yakult Swallows on Sunday afternoon at Tokyo Dome.
"I tried to go into the at-bat the way I always do," Kadowaki said. "Even though it was a big chance, I wanted to keep everything the same."
