Hideki Matsuyama will compete in the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament in Miyazaki this November, organizers of the Japan Golf Tour Organization event said Monday.

It will be his first JGTO Tour appearance since the 2019 Dunlop Phoenix. Two-time Dunlop Phoenix champion Brooks Koepka of the United States is also scheduled to head to Phoenix Country Club for the 50th edition of the tournament, taking place from Nov. 16 to 19, the organizers said.

Matsuyama won the Dunlop Phoenix in 2014 and became the first Japanese player to win the Masters Tournament in 2021.

"I'm very happy to be able to participate in the 50th edition," Matsuyama said. "I'd like to show golf fans my growth over the past four years in the form of a victory."
