Lionel Messi helped Inter Miami rally from two goals down to beat Cincinnati 5-4 on penalties after their thrilling U.S. Open Cup semifinal ended 3-3 after extra time on Wednesday.

Miami, which won the Leagues Cup on penalties against Nashville on Saturday, is now one win away from its second trophy since Messi joined the club last month.

Cincinnati leads the Major League Soccer standings while Miami is at bottom, but the Florida team is a very different side compared to the one that was winless in 11 league matches before the Argentine's arrival.
