Akane Yamaguchi downed South Korea's world No. 7 Sung Ji-hyun at the Korea Open on Sunday to claim her first title on the Super Series circuit in three years.

Yamaguchi, who lost in the semifinals at the Japan Open late last month, came from behind in Seoul to win 20-22, 21-15, 21-18 for her first Super Series title since the Japan Open in 2013.

The 19-year-old world No. 10 dropped the first game after leading for the most part but tied it in the second, and a late rally in the final game saw her win in 74 minutes.
