Japan international Hendrik Tui will be back with the Reds next year, the Australian Super Rugby franchise announced Friday.

The loose forward, who was part of Japan's historic World Cup team last year, is now locked in for his third season in Queensland.

"I'm really happy to be coming back to the Reds in 2017," the 28-year-old Suntory Sungoliath player said, according to the team's website.

"I was disappointed not be able to contribute as much as I wanted to in my first season with the Reds, so this year has been a rewarding experience, being able to prove to myself and my teammates that I can contribute at this level."
