Isao Aoki, who led Japan's domestic tour in earnings five times, was selected its new chairman on Friday by the JGTO's board of directors.

The 73-year-old Aoki replaces 81-year-old Katsuji Ebisawa, who served two, two-year terms. Aoki, who had been a special consultant to the organization, becomes the first former player to run the JGTO since the first chairman, Kosaku Shimada.
