Last season's All-Japan Championship winners Yamaha Jubilo remained unbeaten in the 2015-16 Top League on Saturday thanks to a 39-19 win over NEC Green Rockets.

Ayumu Goromaru scored one of Yamaha's five tries and added four conversions and two penalty goals as Katsuyuki Kiyomiya's side made it three wins from as many games to remain top of Group B.

The Japan fullback touched down in the 15th minute and was followed onto the scoresheet by Rocky Havili, Shinji Nakazono, Takeshi Hino and Dewald Potgeiter as Jubilo made it 14 points from a possible 15.

Toyota Verblitz picked up their second win of the season and move into second place in the group ahead of Kobe Kobelco Steelers, who play Sunday, thanks to a 45-21 victory over Toyota Industries Shuttles.

Flyhalf Takaya Monji scored 18 points for Verblitz with a try, six conversions and a penalty goal.

Meanwhile in Group A, 2015 Rugby World Cup winner Liam Messam scored in his Top League debut as Toshiba Brave Lupus downed Honda Heat 41-10.

The All Blacks flanker was joined on the scoresheet by RWC 2007 winner Francois Steyn, the South African scoring a try, four conversions and a penalty goal as Toshiba made it two wins from three games.

Another former Springbok, Pierre Spies, continued his good form of late with a try as Kintetsu handed Suntory Sungoliath their second loss of the season, the Liners winning 25-19 to go fourth, one point behind Toshiba.
