Japan will play two games against World Cup rival Scotland next June, the Japan Rugby Football Union announced Thursday.

The Brave Blossoms will have chances to avenge their only loss at the World Cup in England, where theylost 45-10 at Gloucester on Sept. 23 four days after the famous 34-32 win over South Africa in the Pool B opener at Brighton.

Japan, ranked 10th in the world, became the first team to be eliminated at the pool stage of the World Cup despite winning three matches, while Scotland, ranked ninth, narrowly missed out on a place in the semifinals after a controversial late decision handed a victory to Australia.

Japan won once in nine games against Scotland. The matches will take place on June 18 and 25, with venues and times to be announced.
