The Toronto Blue Jays announced on Friday that they have optioned infielder Munenori Kawasaki to Triple-A Buffalo.
The move corresponds with the return to the Blue Jays' lineup of on second baseman Devon Travis, who has been out the past five weeks because of an injured left shoulder.
Kawasaki was recalled from the minors for the third time this season on June 19, but was limited to just three appearances.
He has played 12 games in the majors this season and has a .200 batting average with one RBI.
