The Fukushima Firebonds have renewed head coach Hiroki Fujita's contact for the 2015-16 bj-league season.
The team made the announcement on its website on Thursday.
The 29-year-old Fujita guided the first-year franchise to a 21-31 record during the regular season and a seventh-place finish in the 12-team Eastern Conference.
The Firebonds advanced to the playoffs and were swept by the host Iwate Big Bulls in a first-round series on May 2-3 to finish their season.
