World No. 5 Kei Nishikori cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Serbia's Viktor Troicki in the third round of the Miami Open on Monday.

Nishikori, the tournament's fourth seed, converted five of six break chances against the 39th-ranked Troicki and sealed the win with an overhand smash at just a few minutes past the one-hour mark.

"I was almost perfect on the court. It is so exciting that I am playing well here," said Nishikori. "Maybe he was hurting a little bit but I was still putting him under pressure with my return.
