MONTE CARLO, MONACO – Basketball’s world governing body on Sunday flat-out rejected the idea of hosting part of the Olympic competition for Tokyo 2020 in Osaka.
Last month during its Tokyo visit, the International Olympic Committee’s Coordination Commission suggested holding the basketball preliminaries in Osaka and other cities around Japan in a similar fashion to the soccer tournament.
