The Yomiuri Giants announced Tuesday that they have signed left-hander Aaron Poreda and right-hander Miles Mikolas, both of whom pitched last season for the American League's Texas Rangers.

Poreda, 28, has pitched in 40 big league games, all in relief, with a career ERA of 4.67. The 198-cm lefty was a No. 1 draft choice of the Chicago White Sox in 2007. Over four seasons in Triple-A, Poreda has a 5-8 record with a 5.65 ERA.

Mikolas, 26, made 10 starts last season for the Rangers, posting a 2-5 record with a 6.44 ERA. Over three Triple-A seasons in the Pacific Coast League, the 196-cm Mikolas has an 11-4 record with an impressive 3.23 ERA.

Both players have signed one-year deals, with Poreda's estimated at $550,000 and Mikolas' at $700,000.
