KYOTO – Fenomeno won the spring Tenno-sho for the second straight year on Sunday with jockey Masayoshi Ebina repeating last year’s triumph for his third victory in the race.
Fenomono, the fourth favorite, completed the 3,200 meters over turf at Kyoto Racecourse in 3 minutes, 15.1 seconds to win by a head over third-favorite, Win Variation, ridden by Koshiro Take. Hokko Brave was third, a nose further back, in a crowded field.
