The Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles won for the second day in a row, 5-2 over the Seibu Lions following a victory on Opening Day, getting eight strong innings from lefty Takahiro Shiomi on Saturday afternoon.

Shiomi, who was sidelined last season due to a shoulder injury, allowed two runs with two walks for the Japan Series champion Eagles before handing the game over to Brian Falkenborg to finish off the Lions in a 5-2 win in front of 26,916 at Seibu Dome.

It was Shiomi's first victory since July 2012.
