Takayuki Kishi threw a three-hit shutout en route to winning his sixth consecutive decision as the Seibu Lions beat the Orix Buffaloes 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Kishi (8-5) allowed a double and two singles and struck out four, while not issuing a walk in a 123-pitch outing at Kyocera Dome. Brandon Dickson (5-6) yielded one run in 7-1/3 innings of the loss.

"They (the batters) always bail me out," Kishi said. "Today my intent was to pitch well enough that I wouldn't have to lean on them. I was able to concentrate on the hitters."
