Teenage tour rookie Mamiko Higa held her nerve on Sunday to earn her second win of the season, beating Mayu Hattori by a stroke to capture the Resort Trust Ladies.
Higa started the final round tied for the lead with Megumi Kido at 7 under, three strokes ahead of Hattori, and posted four birdies against two bogeys at Kansai Golf Club. Higa became the fourth teenager to earn two victories on the Japan LPGA tour, joining Mayumi Hirase, Ai Miyazato and Sakura Yokomine.
"It was really tough to hang on to my second-day lead," Higa said.
