Ai Miyazato shot a final-round 3-under 69 to wrap up the weekend tied for sixth at the HSBC Women's Champions on Sunday.

Miyazato, who won this tournament in 2010, began the day five shots off the lead and had five birdies against two bogeys for a 7-under 281 total at Tanah Merah Country Club. Angela Stanford of the United States prevailed in a four-way playoff after finishing the regulation 72 holes at 278.

"Hitting under 70 was a big deal today," said Miyazato. "I am glad that I was able to play my game. I was focused until the end, and I think this boosts my confidence going forward. I want to maintain this momentum going into the next tournament."

World No. 1 Yani Tseng of Taiwan finished one shot back in fifth after a 69. Momoko Ueda also carded a 69 to end at 4-under, but Mika Miyazato struggled to a 77 to finish at 2-over 290.
