WBA super featherweight champion Takashi Uchiyama will make his third defense of the title against fourth-ranked Takashi Miura as part of a world championship doubleheader in Tokyo on Jan. 31, his boxing gym said Saturday.

WBA super bantamweight champion Retsuri Lee, a Japan-based South Korean, will take on Akifumi Shimoda at Ariake Colosseum in his first title defense.

Uchiyama was set to fight Jorge Solis, the WBA super featherweight interim titleholder, on Jan. 10 but earlier this week organizers announced the postponement of their unified bout after the Mexican developed pneumonia.

"My opponent abruptly changed, but I'm ready to face the new challenger," Uchiyama said. "He (Miura) is a good fighter. It's going to be an exciting match."

Miura expressed his readiness to fight aggressively.

"It's my dream stage. I'd like to win the bout by knockout," he said.
