Japan's Ai Ueda won her second title at a World Cup in Huatulco, Mexico, on Sunday.

Ueda clocked a time of 1 hour, 59 minutes, 51 seconds over the three courses en route to winning the title at this meet for the second year in a row.

Switzerland's Nicola Spirig came second in 2:00:24 while third place went to Dutchwoman Rachel Klamer in 2:00:40.

Britain's Helen Jenkins timed the fastest in the swim to lead the pack into the 40-kilometer bike course out of the first transition. But Ueda and Spirig gained ground, setting the pace with Jenkins entering the 10-km run.

Ueda pulled away on the first lap of the run and built a substantial lead to win by a comfortable margin. Japan's Machiko Nakanishi finished in 27th.
