SAITAMA (Kyodo) Omiya Ardija said Tuesday that manager Chang Woe Ryong, 51, has resigned for health reasons and the team's poor performance in the J. League.

Jun Suzuki, 48, who coached Albirex Niigata for four seasons through 2009, will replace the 51-year-old South Korean and take charge from Saturday's match at home to Kyoto Sanga.

At present, Omiya is 17th in the 18-team first division with a record of one win, two draws and five losses.

Last year, Ardija finished 13th in Chang's first season in charge.
