Japan returned to losing ways as the host was outclassed by Beijing Olympic bronze medalist China in straight sets in the women's World Grand Prix final round on Saturday.

Li Juan had 14 points and three other players hit double figures in an impressive first win for the Chinese, who prevailed 25-20, 25-23, 25-17 in front of 10,000 at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

Maiko Sakashita was Japan's top scorer for the second night in a row with 17 points. Japan, which beat the Netherlands to pick up its first win Friday, and China both have 1-3 records.

In other action, reigning Olympic champion Brazil improved to 4-0 by closing in on the title and beating the Netherlands 25-22, 18-25, 25-20, 25-16, while Russia raised its record to 3-1, defeating beat Germany 16-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-20.
