Takayuki Kishi threw a four-hitter for his first shutout this season and Tatsuyuki Uemoto hit a "sayonara" single as the Saitama Seibu Lions edged the Chiba Lotte Marines 1-0 on Saturday.
With the bases loaded and no outs, Uemoto hit a high bouncer off Brian Sikorski to first baseman Kazuya Fukuura. Takuya Hara beat Fukuura's throw home at Seibu Dome.
Kishi (12-2) struck out eight and walked seven in a 157-pitch outing and matched his career high in wins. Shingo Ono (6-6) was pulled after loading the bases in the ninth.
