Urawa Reds on Thursday announced the transfer of midfielder Alessandro Santos to Austrian first-division side SV Salzburg for one year from Jan. 30, 2007 with the option of a full transfer.
Salzburg have already acquired Gamba Osaka defender Tsuneyasu Miyamoto, who captained Japan at the 2002 and 2006 World Cups, this close season and have two World Cup players from Japan. Santos visited the Austrian club on Wednesday.
