Struggling J. League first-division club Oita Trinita announced on Monday the appointment of Brazilian manager Pericles Chamusca, a week after the resignation of South Korean Hwangbo Kwan.
The contract for Chamusca runs through Jan. 1, 2007. The 39-year-old, who joins the team Tuesday, has had stints as manager at such Brazilian clubs as Botafogo, Sao Caetano and Goias.
