Toshimitsu Izawa moved into a two-shot lead after carding a 6-under-par 65 at the midway point of the Under Armour KBC Augusta on Friday.
Two-time money king Izawa brandished a hot putter at the par-71 Keya Golf Club in Fukuoka Prefecture, draining five birdies in the final seven holes to jump from a share of ninth to the top of the leaderboard at 10-under 132, two clear of Ryuichi Oda.

TERADOMARI, Niigata Pref. (Kyodo) Ai Miyazato began her bid for back-to-back titles with an even-par 72 as Mari Katayama and Atomi Shiota emerged as surprise first-round co-leaders at the Yonex Ladies on Friday.
Miyazato finished three shots behind little-known Shiota and Katayama.
