TOJO, Hyogo Pref. – Little-known Makoto Inoue eagled his final hole to highlight a 6-under-par 66 and take a two-shot lead over a trio of golfers after the third round of the ABC Championship on Saturday.
Winless since making his pro debut at the 1998 Bridgestone Open, Inoue offset a bogey on the third at ABC Golf Course with five birdies and hit a 5-iron to within 18 feet of the pin before rolling down an eagle putt on the 18th to close on 14-under 202.
Overnight leader Takashi Kamiyama, Ryoken Kawagishi and Toru Suzuki shared second.
