CHIBA – Tetsuji Hiratsuka and Daisuke Maruyama both shot 7-under-par 65s to share the lead after the first round of the Bridgestone Open on Thursday.
Hiratsuka and Maruyama, both searching for their first career wins, carded seven birdies each in identical bogey-free rounds at Sodegaura Country Club to lead a quintet of golfers by one stroke.
