Overnight leader Katsuyoshi Tomori fired a 7-under par 64 in bogey-free play on Saturday for a 54-hole total of 17-under 196 and opened up his lead to five strokes going into the final round of the JCB Classic Sendai golf tournament.

Journeyman Tadahiro Takayama also rode a hot putter as he produced eight birdies against a lone bogey for a 64 over the par-71, 6,624-yard course and moved into a tie for second place at 201 with local favorite Yusaku Miyazato.

Triumvirate in front

OKAZAKI, Aichi Pref. (Kyodo) South Korean Lee Ji Hee shot a 2-under par 70 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead with two others after the first round of the Resort Trust Ladies golf tournament in Aichi Prefecture.

Teeing off for the first round on the Tradition Golf Club's 6,504-yard course, Lee carded a birdie and a bogey before making the turn.
