Yuji Yamada, the leading money earner in keirin professional cycling, won the men's keirin title and Maya Tachikawa completed a women's double at the cycling track race national championships.

Yamada surged ahead of the pack on the final lap at Miyagi prefectural cycling track and hung on to add to the crown he claimed in the national professional circuit four months ago.

Tachikawa, winner of Saturday's 500-meter time trial, won her third straight sprint title for her second victory in as many days in a meet which also serves as a qualifier for the Asian Games in Pusan, South Korea, this fall.

In other events, Takashi Kaneko won the men's individual sprint and was also part of the national B team crew, which outran the national A crew to take the team sprint title.
