Chunichi Dragons southpaw Shigeki Noguchi left spring training Wednesday to undergo a reexamination of his left elbow at a hospital in Nagoya, officials of the Central League club said.
Noguchi, who went 12-9 and led the league a 2.46 ERA last season, had experienced some discomfort in his elbow since the start of the camp in Okinawa Prefecture and was awaiting the results of examinations done Wednesday.
