I would like to convey my encouragement to Jason Williams, the writer of the well-written, May 22 article “Teaching with the ‘enemy.’ ” As Williams stated, North Korea-linked schools play a valuable role for ethnic Koreans in Japan. Under the recent severe circumstances for innocent Korean children in Japan, the article has made a meaningful contribution to dispel distorted general impressions of Koreans in Japan.
