Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance is considering terminating its advertising contract with Johnny & Associates, which is mired in a sexual abuse scandal involving the late founder of the major Japanese talent agency, it was learned on Thursday.
"We will not accept any form of harassment from the viewpoint of respecting human rights," said a public relations official of Tokio Marine, a major Japanese nonlife insurer.
Tokio Marine has been using Masaki Aiba, a Johnny's personality, in its advertisements since January 2022.
