The operator of Tokyo Skytree, at 634 meters the world’s tallest broadcast tower, said observation decks will be open to the public early on New Year’s Day for the first sunrise of 2013.

Tobu Tower Skytree Co. said Monday that 1,000 Skytree visitors will have a chance to observe the first sunrise, which is expected at 6:45 a.m., from the 350-meter-high and 450-meter-high decks, which will be open between 5 a.m. and 8 a.m.
