Fujitsu Ltd. is seeking buyers for its semiconductor business as part of a restructuring effort, according to sources familiar with the situation.
Fujitsu, the nation’s biggest provider of computer services, hired UBS AG as financial adviser on the sale process, said the sources, who declined to be identified because the decision isn’t public.
“Nothing has been decided at this point,” Fujitsu spokesman Masahiro Yamane said. He declined to elaborate.
UBS representatives didn’t return calls and email messages seeking comment.
