Paid changing booths in Tokyo's Harajuku area have been attracting young ladies who want to dress up in the fashionable street styles of the district.
The operator — the Uratake Girl's Style shop near the trend-setting Takeshita-dori — rents out private booths for ¥300 an hour for a single customer and ¥500 for a pair, and offers an open booth for ¥200 per customer.
Customers are able to use some makeover items, including hair brushes and hair irons, free of charge.
The shop said it does not accept male customers without a female companion.
