NARITA, Chiba Pref. (Kyodo) Narita International Airport's expanded capacity for departures and arrivals has paid off with three foreign airlines launching services linking Tokyo with the Middle East and Macau.

The three carriers that launched the routes Sunday are Emirates, Etihad Airways and Air Macau. They will be joined by Qatar Airways, which will start service in April.

Narita increased services after the extension of its second runway in October.
