Crude oil imports dropped 4.5 percent in November from a year earlier to 110.20 million barrels for the 14th straight monthly fall, the Natural Resources and Energy Agency said Monday.

Oil shipments from the Middle East accounted for 90.0 percent of the total imports, up 3.1 percentage points, the agency within the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said in a preliminary report.

Saudi Arabia remained the biggest supplier to Japan.
