Mothers who have given up on overseas travel because of having to care for small children might want to start packing. A travel agency of the Japan Airlines group started marketing a tour package Thursday only available to families with mothers and babies.

The Let's Go to Hawaii Holding Babies package specifically targets mothers who fret their crying babies will disturb other travelers or who find it difficult to breast-feed in flight, JALPAK Co. said.

All of the 16 flight attendants are women who have experience raising children. Eight seats in the rear of the airplane are enclosed by a curtain to allow mothers to breast-feed in privacy, the company said.

In-flight movies include, of course, cartoons for kids, and there is an optional barbecue party for the families after arrival in Hawaii.

"Many families with small children choose to travel by car because they don't have to worry about other travelers. We racked our brains to meet the demands of families with children who want to go overseas," said a JALPAK representative.

A six-day tour departing on Aug. 14 starts at ¥179,800 per adult. Children are half price, while infants under 2 get to go for only ¥100.
