The guitarist for a disbanded rock group popular in the 1970s has been arrested for possessing cannabis, police said Wednesday.
Happy End member Shigeru Suzuki, 57, was found with 27 grams of cannabis in his car Tuesday in Tokyo, according to police.
Police said Suzuki admitted the drugs were his.
Happy End, joined by other popular musicians such as Haruomi Hosono and Eiichi Otaki, were known for performing rock music in Japanese.
