Former Livedoor Co. Chief Financial Officer Ryoji Miyauchi, facing a prison term over the Internet company’s fraudulent accounting practices, has withdrawn his appeal to the Supreme Court in the hope of returning quickly to normal life, sources said Sunday.
The move means the Tokyo High Court’s decision in September to sentence Miyauchi to 14 months will be finalized. Miyauchi, 41, currently on bail, is expected to be imprisoned soon.
